Sigh…..
So, the proof is in the pudding, the rubber’s hitting the road, and the push has most-definitely come to shove.
I am in my last week of school… (HALLEJUAH!!) and I just finished my last lecture of the semester… wait…no, of my whole career as a student!! Wow…. I don’t even know how to feel. I began school at age four and now, eighteen years later, I’m done. Just like that. Wow.
Actually, I’m not done (I’m pouting), and that’s the point of this post all-together. I’m sure you noticed that yesterday’s Serial Sunday was not posted. (Unfortunately, that just ruined my almost month-long run of daily posts – drat.) However, this next week is going to be absolutely insane as I focus on finishing up the assignment-aspect of my school work.
In the next week, I need to do the following assignments for the following classes:
Rhetorical Criticism
- Read 3 chapters of Rhetorical Criticism
- Write 6 pages for each of those chapters
New Testament
- Read the summaries of Exposition on Prayer for Romans through Revelations
- Write summaries on the summaries (don’t ask….lol)
Intro to Biblical Counseling
- Write a 6-pg, single-spaced paper analyzing and counseling all the way through a case study
- Read two chapters in When People Are Big and God Is Small
- Write a reading report for chapters 7-13 of When People Are Big…
- Study for and take the final exam
English Literature
- Study, study, study
- Take the Final Exam (and pray I don’t bomb it)
Yes, I have to do all of these assignments this week, plus I am house-sitting for a family during the day, have two evening meetings, need to send out wedding invitations this week (WHOOHOO!!), and would kind of like to sleep at one point or another.
So, because of having a lot to accomplish and needing to put my all into my last week of school EVER, I am having to take a week hiatus from blogging. I pray to be done and able to start up next week with a new Serial Sunday, but until then, I need to apply what I have been writing about and prioritize, be dedicated, show self-control, be mature, focus, and just plain sit and read and write papers. Sigh…
I can most-definitely use your prayers this week. I have a lot to do, and I have a lot on my mind. However, with a change of perspective, I have a great wealth of supporters, I have a patient fiancé, and most-importantly, I have the Lord Who is constantly holding me by my right hand (Isaiah 41:13 – See my blog post Fail for more discussion regarding this passage).
So, here we go. I’m not happy with this reality, but just think: I’ll have so much to update you on when I return AND I’ll no longer be a college student the next time I write on this blog! Whoohooo!!!
I’m off, and thank you in advance for your prayers. 🙂

The quote is actually, “the proof of the pudding is in the eating.” As to the rest of the post–Yea!
