Product Reviews: All-Natural Glee Gum

I’m a gum addict. I think it runs in my family, because my younger sister is as well. I have many gum-related stories, but I’ll spare them and just share with you Adam and my thoughts on this new, all-natural gum we just tried today: Glee Gum.

Allergy-Related Information: Gluten-Free, GMO-Free (genetically-modified organism), Sugar-Free (not all flavors), Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, Yeast-Free, Soy-Free, Corn Syrup Free, Artificial Sweetener-Free

Pros: I have to say I’m quite impressed with the appearance of these gum packs. 🙂 They don’t look too special..they look rather traditional. They remind me of the Chiclets® I used to have as a kid (Ok, maybe I had them once, but I’ve never forgotten it…)

Cons: No cons here! I love the creative design of the packages!

Pros: They’re naturally flavored! I love that!  I love the additive-free ingredients, the lack of corn syrup, and even the lack of artificial sweeteners!

Cons: Sigh…I was so happy to be trying this gum. I was disappointed, however, that the flavor of the sugar-free gum lasted about 180 seconds. Bummer…. After about ten minutes, there’s a real bitter taste that emerges, … and that’s about as far as Adam lasted. He had to get rid of it.

The gum made with sugar cane was way better! The flavor didn’t last long (8 min), but it didn’t get bitter after a while. 🙂 Go with the naturally sweetened, sugar cane gum!!

What I Love

I really love the natural ingredients. I love the work this company is putting towards advancing natural snacks for kids and adults alike!

What I’d Improve

There has to be some natural way to extend the freshness/flavor of the sugar-free product. Honestly, it was rather disappointing.

Overall Rating:

Sugar-Free: F
Cane Sugar Gum: C
