Product Reviews: Fabe’s All-Natural Bakery Cookies

Ever heard of healthy dessert? Besides my single-ingredient ice cream, I can’t say that I can often find a dessert that I want to snack on. After trying Fabe’s All-Natural Bakery cookies, I might just have found the exception…

Appearance

Pros:  These are big cookies! I was pretty impressed! I even thought I just might be able to eat half the cookie, because it was so big. (Boy was I mistaken!)

Cons: No cons!  They look just as great as they taste!

Taste

Pros: Wow…. I love my oatmeal raisin cookies in general, although I don’t often have them. However, what I often find is that they’re a little sweet for my liking.  That is not the case here with Fabe’s cookies!  I love that they’re just sweet enough to allow you to enjoy a snack but they’re not so sweet that the large cookie only gets half-eaten.

Cons: NONE! 🙂

Moisture/Texture

Pros: I have to admit that I was afraid this cookie might not have lasted until now, because I have waited so long (unintentionally) to do this review. After all, this is a gluten-free cookie we’re talking about, right?  Boy, was I wrong (again)!  This cookie was moist and bendable!  What a rarity in packaged and natural cookies!  I am very impressed.

Cons: Although I have named in my list of pros, I can’t deny that the little tiny peices of crisp rice might not be everyone else’s favorite. I loved it, but I know that Adam would have found that texture deterring.

What I Love

I love that Fabe’s is providing all sorts of wonderful desserts and snacks using natural ingredients!  That is commendable!

What I’d Improve

I would have to say that the biggest worry I had was that the website is confusing as to what is gluten-free and what is not. The little label on the side makes the reader feel like all their products are gluten-free, but beware, they’re not!  Read the ingredient list/nutrition facts section to confirm.
