Product Reviews: Stubbs Spice Rubs

I hate when I make something and it’s boring, spiceless, lifeless, ….ugh.  I think I fear that more than I fear over-spicing something.  Most-often this happens with crockpot meals, because the inside of the meat just doesn’t get the outside spice rubs like it might absorb a sauce.  Still, I continue to spice up my meat and add new combinations and try new things. (Note: I am thankful for a very easily satisfied husband. 🙂 )

Allergy-Related Information: Gluten-Free, MSG-Free, Preservative-Free

Appearance

Pros: All of these spices are so creatively packaged to look the most-appealing ever!  Not only is the packaging great, but the spices offer great color to any meat or veggie you’re seasoning.

Cons: All good, nothing bad to say here!

Taste

Pros: I love the versatility of these spices!  I have used a variety of them now, and I would say that the >>>> is my favorite.  It’s such a wonderful combination and having these spices combined into one saves time and energy!  A few dashes, and you’re good to go!

Cons: Although I can’t say this about all of them, I would say that my biggest con is that these spices are not strong enough.  I always feel like I have to add quite a bit to get a strong flavor.

Moisture/Texture

Pros: I hate spices that are clumpy and are difficult to sprinkle.  These spices are not!  The texture and moisture level is perfect so that they’re not fine like sand but not clumpy and chunky as to not be mixable. 🙂 Great job!

Cons: No cons here!

What I Love

I love the variety of flavors offered by this company.  I would not have considered a few of these before using them, but I really enjoy the flavor they offer!

What I’d Improve

Can you up the flavor per dash? 🙂 I know it’s a personal preference, but I’d like them to be somewhat stronger.

Overall Rating: B+
