If you didn’t know already, Adam and I are running the Ragnar Relay in the Adirondacks this weekend. If you’re not familiar with the race, check out last night’s post or the above hyperlink. 🙂
————————————————————–
6:19: I should be getting ready. I’m slowly (and obviously not too affectively if I’m writing on here) packing up my backpack with all my running clothes, gear, and accessories and praying that my dream about the first day of school and forgetting my books is not a sign of me forgetting anything today.
I don’t know why I’m nervous. I run at noon and then not again for many hours. I don’t know why that still has my stomach in knots, as if I jut didn’t run my PR for a 10k 3 days ago (6.4 miles at a 7:30 min/mi pace).
6:30 – I’m dressed and my bag is partially packed.
6:40 – My 3 eggs are frying up, and I’m microwaving some leftover rice. Rice and eggs is my favorite pre-race food ever. Carbs and protein, soft on the stomach, tasty to the tongue.
7:00 – Ok. Food is eaten, bags are packed (There is no way I will use all of this in only 30 hours. I didn’t carry this much stuff for 9 days in Egypt!)
7:15 – Car is getting packed. I’ve still got a nice cough from my awful cold this last weekend. Time to finish off the cough drops.
7:30 – Headed over to meet Van 1.
