That You Love Sinners Such As I

I am amazed, O God, that You would use imperfect people to share Your Perfect Love.

I am humbled, O God, that You would use broken people to point others to He who makes all things new.

I am in wonder, O God, that You would use we who are unrighteous in ourselves to declare the Righteousness of God.

I am in awe, O God, that You would use that which is sin-cursed to share of Your blessings.

I am amazed, O God, that You would use those who You once could not look on to direct others to the throne of God.

I am amazed, O God, that You would use us who should be destined for destruction to reach out and offer Hope to that which is lost.

I am humbled, O God, that You would use the lips which have blasphemed Your Name countless times to speak of Your Wondrous Holiness.

I am in wonder, O God, that You would use the people who are so in need of Your grace to speak grace into the lives of others.

I am in awe, O God, that You would use people who have once walked in darkness to share of Your wondrous Light.

I am amazed, O God, that You would use we who were once filled with hate to be vessels of Your Love.

I humbled, O God, that You would use we who have so often walked in selfish ambitions to teach of Your endless sacrifice.

I am in wonder, O God, that You would these hands that have oft been raised against You to demonstrate Your compassion to others.

I am in awe, O God, that You would take this prideful heart and transform it to walk in humility before others.

I am amazed, O God, that You love sinners such as I.

Jeremiah 18: 1-11
The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel.  And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.

Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it… Now, therefore, … ‘Thus says the Lord, Behold, I am shaping disaster against you and devising a plan against you. Return, every one from his evil way, and amend your ways and your deeds.’
